Teen to appear in court following fatal collision in Co. Wexford

A 16-year-old boy is due to appear in court following a collision which took place in Ferns, Co. Wexford on January 12th this year.

The hit-and-run collision resulted in the death of 81-year-old James Brennan who died at the scene.

Mr. Brennan was travelling with a companion, who also sustained injuries during the incident, when a stolen Volvo crashed into this vehicle.

The assailants were forced to abandon the Volvo due to its condition following the collision and fled the scene on foot before stealing another vehicle from a nearby farmyard.

The teenage boy, who was arrested on Friday, is due to appear in Wexford District Court this morning.
