Fans of The Crown have been spoiled with tons of new information about the upcoming season. The show may not be returning to our screens until 2019, but that doesn’t mean we’re not excited about it.

We can’t wait to see what happens in season three, which is set to feature some explosive storylines.

The show has been unveiling the new cast over the past few months, and we just can’t get enough of these announcements.

Today, Netflix revealed that Josh O'Connor and Marion Bailey are joining the cast of the Netflix original series.

Josh O'Connor will play Prince Charles. Speaking of his role as the future king of England, Josh said: “Seasons 3 and 4 will follow some of the most turbulent events in the Prince of Wales’s life and our national story and I’m excited to be bringing to life the man in the midst of it all.”

He added: “I’m very aware it’s a formidably talented family to be joining, but reliably informed I have the ears for the part and will fit right in."

Marion Bailey will take on the role of the Queen Mother, she gushed about joining the show: “Wonderful to be joining The Crown. It’s a brilliant show and we have a tough act to follow but what a gift to be playing the fascinating and greatly loved Queen Mother. Thrilled to be on board and working with such a top notch team."

Earlier this year, Olivia Colman was confirmed as Queen Elizabeth. She will star alongside Tobias Menzie, who is set to play a middle-aged Prince Philip.

Helena Bonham Carter will star as Princess Margaret and Ben Daniels will star as her husband Anthony-Armstrong Jones.

Call The Midwife’s Erin Doherty will play Princess Anne.

We cannot wait for The Crown to return next year.
