We are eagerly anticipating the return of The Crown in 2019, and thankfully we have some news about the third series to keep us going until then.
This next season is expected to cover the years 1964 into the 1970s, and the show has already found its new Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman), Prince Philip (Tobias Menzies), Princess Margaret (Helena Bonham Carter), and Harold Wilson (Jason Watkins).
Billy Jenkins is rumoured to be playing Prince Charles (who will be ages 16 through to his 20s in the third series). Now, the actress playing another one of Elizabeth's children has been confirmed.
Erin Doherty will be playing Princess Anne from ages 14 to her early 20s, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The actress has been in an episode of Call the Midwife and is appearing in the TV mini-series of Les Mis as Fabienne.
Erin trained at the Bristol Old Vic theatre company.
She definitely bears some resemblance to young Princess Anne!
