The birth of a child is an incredibly intimate process – which is why, when someone opens up this private moment to the world, it becomes extra fascinating.
One woman that has got the internet talking in recent weeks is YouTube vlogger Elle Lindquist, who decided to film and share her experience of giving birth to her second child with her husband, Dan.
The couple have documented all of the ups and downs of their family life and pregnancy, and Elle wasn’t about to stop there. After deciding that she wanted a natural water birth with her second child, she welcomed a videographer into her home to film the entire thing.
As you will see below, the video documents the complete journey of Elle and baby Cohen, from the first contractions and the long wait through to the birth itself.
Baby Cohen starts the final leg of his journey into the world at around the eight-minute mark below, with mum Elle seen getting into the bath as labour progresses. It’s not long before the brave mum is scooping her newborn out of the water and into her arms!
Since being shared to YouTube on April 26, the video has clocked up almost three million views, with commenters finding the footage to be ‘pretty amazing’.
