Prince Harry was a mere 12-years-old when his mum, Princess Diana, passed away. The world was devastated by Diana’s untimely passing, with thousands upon thousands of flowers and tributes being laid out outside of Buckingham Palace after her death.

It’s been 21 years since Princess Diana's life was tragically claimed in a car accident, but Harry and William have continued to keep her memory alive.

Both of her sons have continued to honour their mum through mass achievements, especially when it comes to charity work.

Harry has also paid tribute to Diana in a subtle, but moving way. The prince wears a black and gold bracelet as a nod to his late mum.

It is understood that the 33-year-old received the bracelet during a trip to Africa shortly after his mum died. Prince Charles took his boys to Africa to escape the media frenzy and intense level of attention from the public.

“I first came [to Africa] in 1997, straight after my mum died. My dad told my brother and me to pack our bags — we were going to Africa to get away from it all,” Harry shared.

Harry has since been spotted wearing the bracelet on many momentous occasions, including on his wedding day.

He made sure Diana was still part of his special day. Meghan’s bouquet featured Diana’s favourite flowers- forget-me-nots, which Harry picked from their own personal garden in Kensington Palace on the eve of their wedding day.

As the newlyweds headed off for their private evening reception, Meghan was sporting a stunning aquamarine ring, which belonged to Diana. It is understood that the ring is her ‘something borrowed’.

Harry said he always wants Diana to be part of every chapter of his life, “[She’s] with us on this crazy journey together."
