Stacey Solomon has taken a stance against airbrushed photographs in her most honest Instagram post to date. The singer posted two photos of herself- one unedited photo wearing a bikini and the edited version.

“This is how scary airbrushing can be... just remember when you’re looking at someone’s post or in a mag or poster you might not be looking at real-life images,” she wrote.

Stacey shared that she is proud of her body, especially the bits that people may call flaws, “I look better un-airbrushed in my opinion and love my natural lumps and bumps!”

The mum hopes that the before and after shots will show people that the photos they see online or in magazines aren’t real.

She said, “All bodies should be celebrated no matter what shape or size.”

The 28-year-old thanked the magazine Celebrity Secrets for giving her the opportunity to show the public just how harmful these edited photos can be, “I’m so proud of the interview and shoot I did with @celebritysecretsmag highlighting how dangerous this kind of body morphing is.”

As a mum of two, Stacey understands the pressure put on young people to look their best. With the rise of social media platforms like Instagram, it’s hard to escape the world of heavily edited snaps.
