Any mum out there whose child has gone away for work, study or sight-seeing will be only too familiar with the ache that sets in when you think about your young one, regardless of their age.
Redditor ‘Jenjoybread’ knows this only too well, which is why he sent a life-size cardboard cut-out of himself to his mother while he was studying abroad.
Believing that his mum might simply stand him inside his bedroom, there for a quick glance or even a hug when she’s really missing him, you can imagine just how surprised and entertained this Redditor was when he began receiving some hilarious photos from home.
It seems this mum has been substituting the cardboard cut-out of her son into everyday situations including dinner, playtime with the dog, bedtime (complete with a story) and even a trip to the doctor’s surgery!
“She seems to be entertaining herself with it,” he wrote, clearly amused with the hilarious selection of photos.
As you can imagine, the photos have gone down a treat online, and some of the responses in the comment section are just as funny.
“Watch out, or your cut-out will meet a nice girl, settle down and start giving your mum grand-papers,” wrote one Reddit user.
