Tom Brady may have another Super Bowl coming up, but the big game was the least of his worries when he heard that a radio host had called his daughter Vivian 'an annoying little pissant'.
The offensive comment was made by radio presenter Alex Reimer when he appeared as a guest on another show. Alex made the remark when reflecting on Tom Brady's new documentary called Tom vs. Time.
The documentary follows Tom's life both on and off the field, including much of his time at home with his wife, Gisele Bündchen, and his three kids John Moynahan (from his previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan), 10, Benjamin, 8, and five-year-old Vivian.
After this comment came to light, the Patriots quarterback abruptly ended his weekly interview on WEEI's The Kirk & Callahan Show.
"You know, I tried to come on this show for many years and showed you guys a lot of respect," the 40-year-old said on the programme, "I’ve always tried to come on and do a good job for you guys."
"It’s very disappointing when you hear [the comments about my daughter], certainly. My daughter, or any child, certainly does not deserve that."
The father-of-two added, "I’ll obviously evaluate whether or not I want to come on this show again. I really don’t have much to say this morning. Maybe I’ll speak with you guys some other time."
Tom noted that he hopes Alex isn't fired, saying, "I think we all have careers and we all make mistakes. I would hate to have someone have to change their life over something like that. That was certainly not what he intended."

Alex has been suspended from all WEEI platforms, according to an official statement from the network.
"We are disappointed and embarrassed by Alex Reimer's on-air comments made last Thursday evening," the statement read.
"We deeply regret what happened and offer our sincerest apologies to Tom Brady, his daughter, and his family, as well as the New England Patriots organisation."
