The Fletcher family are one of the most creative brood's around, from chart-topper Tom’s music skills to best selling author Giovanna’s way with words.

It comes as no surprise that Tom and Giovanna’s sons Buzz and Buddy are taking after their talented folks. The proud parents are constantly sharing photos of their sons dancing, singing, and drawing on their Instagram accounts.

Life at the Fletcher household sounds like the greatest fun, from early morning band practice to cozy evenings watching the sunset.

Tom shared a sweet family tradition when he spoke to Heart Online. The creative dad, who is now a best selling children’s author, revealed that Buzz is starting to recognise word during family story time.

Tom shared, “We'll be reading a book and he'll ask me where that word is - he'll want to know which one of the words that is and when it comes up again he'll pick it out and spot it...it's amazing seeing him engaging in words."

It comes as no surprise that Buzz is a mini bookworm, his mum Giovanna has written seven books for the women’s fiction genre.

In recent years Tom has moved from song-writing to novel writing. The father-of-two has written children’s books including The Dinosaur That Pooped A Planet and The Christmasaurus.

He is thrilled that Buddy and Buzz are showing an interest in reading. The McFly member said reading to his two boys at night time is the highlight of his day.

However, Tom admits that story time can get quite competitive, “There’s a bit of a competition between me and my wife trying to outdo each other - we take it in turns as we have two boys and hear her trying to outdo me with the voices.”

Tom shared that they take story time very seriously, “You've got to bring your 'A' game to the bedtime stories.”

Tom and Giovanna believe reading can help deepen the bond between a parent and their children. The proud bookworms shared that they read to Buzz and Buddy every night, no matter how busy they’ve been throughout the day.

The Creakers author expressed his love of reading, “It's so important to encourage your kids to read. You can't beat that connection that you have with a book.”

Experts found that reading can strengthen children’s speech, enhances their concentration and prepares them for their academic days.

Maybe one-day Buzz and Buddy will have books on the shelves of Waterstones and Easons, just like their parents.
