There was outrage last year when the release of Romeo Beckham’s Christmas Burberry advert was met with wholly inappropriate comments about the then-12-year-old, and similar circumstances have shocked and disgusted social media today.
A Tatler UK article written about Brooklyn Beckham has been blasted as ‘gross’ and ‘deeply unsettling’, after referring to his ‘legal’ status.
One particular excerpt from ‘The Posh Girl’s Pin-Up: Brooklyn Beckham’ has sparked outrage, with the author writing: “He’s 16. So he’s suddenly legal. Which means there are options that three months ago there would not have been. So that’s diverting. Hot. Ready. Legal.”
As you can imagine, Twitter users took to the micro-blogging site in white-hot rage over the article, with the magazine coming in for some pretty damning criticism.
“Pretty grossed out by Tatler’s piece on Brooklyn Beckham,” wrote journalist Brogan Driscoll, while The Times reporter Kaya Burgess described the article as “deeply unsettling”.
Meanwhile commentary beneath the piece itself – which is still live online – is similarly critical.

“Good God that is one of the most revolting, predatory articles I’ve ever read. Tatler should be ashamed to publish such seedy tripe,” wrote one reader.
