IKEA is asking customers who have a KRITTER or SNIGLAR junior bed to check the date stamp following seven reports of faults.
The problem is reported to be with the metal rod connecting the guardrail to the bed frame, which could expose sharp metal edges and cause injury.
Only KRITTER junior beds with date stamp (YYWW) from 1114 to 1322 and SNIGLAR junior beds with date stamp from 1114 to 1318 are affected. The date stamp can be found on the label attached to either the headboard or the underside of the bed.
Customers with affected products can visit their local IKEA or contact the customer service line (1890 876 707) for a free repair kit or alternatively an exchange of refund.
