I've watched this from the start and was sad to see it end. The twists and turns, the plotting and intrigues were a delight to watch. I can say that each series spun out so many surprises that it never failed to keep you going. I was quite taken aback when it finished and totally surprised when they revealed who Gossip Girl actually was...absolutely hilarious moment :D
Anyway, if you're only starting out with the first series' then you're in for a treat, the characters you love right now can and will change in surprising ways. I had an on/off love/hate relationship with them all especially Chuck, Lily and Serena. Blair never really hit that level of interest, she was spoiled from the start and it just got worse, though, I have to say, incredibly funny at times. We all loved Dan and Nate, who wouldn't? And I felt sorry for Rufus throughout the whole 6 series.
Watch out for the delightful Georgina Sparks, the charming Jack Bass and the wonderful Ivy Dickens too, they really bring something edgy to the whole series.
My favourite character for pure entertainment value, though he wasn't in it much, was Wallace Shawn's role ( I won't say whom he plays in case you haven't seen it) He cracked me up everytime he appeared on screen. Inconceivable!! ;)

This was definitely one of my favourite tv shows ever. From thr first episode it kept you completely hooked! The story lines were amazing! The hook ups the break ups lillies weddings the black mail the drama the back stabbing. The fashion in it was fabulous! It always made me really jealous. I have to shop in dunnes stores and they always got to wear designer couture. Blair and chucks love story was my favourite. But my fave character had to be dorata, she was hilarious! I really miss it now.

Since I posted that earlier I've been seriously considering rewatching it entirely. I had a peek at episode 1, season 1 again and I can't believe how much they developed all of the characters. Brilliant!

How's everyone getting on with this? Do we collectively hate Serena yet? And what is Georgina Sparks up to really? :p
