House of Cards is an intense American drama-thriller series based on the award-winning BBC mini-series of the same name.

In the second season, Francis and Claire Underwood continue their ruthless rise to power as threats mount on all fronts. Zoe Barnes an up-and-coming reporter and Francis’s former paramour, is inching closer to the truth about his crimes. President Walker’s billionaire confidante Raymond Tusk demands that Francis reciprocate political favours or face retribution. And Claire must confront the increasing glare of the spotlight as it eats away at her and Francis’s once private existence. The Underwood’s must overcome these dangers -- past and present -- to avoid losing everything, regardless of collateral damage they leave in their wake.

Wasn't amazed by the first series ... but ended up getting totally into it. Couldn't be better timing for Series 2 to come out. No chance of me losing interest. Good show and very entertaining despite the fact that I don't even really like the characters. lol

Brilliant! What can I say? I loved Series 1 and Series 2 is not disappointing at all. Want to watch it all together tho ... (some folks are never happy eh?)

Oh I was sooo looking forward to thsi and it most definitely hasn't disappointed! LOVE IT! I won't say a word, but honestly, you have GOT to watch the first episode of Series 2. Flippin brilliant. Now ... who wants to take my kids for the weekend so I can watch a few episodes in one go? Pesky day to day stuff like housework, kids and sleep really getting in my way. Ha ha ha. Now .. back to the hair ... you'll all be delighted to hear I've decided to go for the Claire hair colour ... still not brave enough for the cut, but blonde (from brown) is a good start, no? Woo hoo ... I'll let you know if blondes really do have more fun. Oh and I'll still be watching HOC S2 of course lol
