Woman causes outrage by telling mums to make effort with their looks on school run

One mum has caused outrage online after telling fellow parents to ‘try a little’ with their appearance.

She took to Facebook to express her disappointment at parents who aren’t dolled up for the school run. She wrote, “Sorry if this hits close to home. Ladies, even if you aren’t getting out of the car at drop off can you try a little.”

“I look around as I’m walking my daughter to the front door and all we see is rat nest hair, no makeup, eyebags out to wherever.”

The mum admitted she is no model, but said some parents really need to make a bigger effort, claiming that she can “smell morning breath coming from these cars.”

She even went as far to say that her young daughter agrees with her, “My daughter said to me, “mommy you are so pretty. My friends' mommies all look so old.

“I’m so proud of you and that you are my mommie.”

The mum continued to defend her point, “On the real, if my seven-year-old daughter can see you aren’t even trying what is your husband thinking? Take some pride.”

We all know just how stressful and manic the school run can be. Only real superheroes can manage to prepare lunches, iron uniforms, pack school bags, bundle the kiddos into the car and make it to the schoolyard before the first bell.

Who cares if we do it with messy hair, stained t-shirts and bare faces.
