21 years after the brutal slaying of her best friend Nicole Brown Simpson in a crime which captivated the American public, world-famous momager, Kris Jenner, has given an insight into Nicole's troubles at the time and admits she suffers considerable guilt over her friend's death.
In a documentary entitled The Secret Tapes of the OJ Case: The Untold Story. the reality TV matriarch reflects on the 1994 murder of Nicole followed by the subsequent trial and acquittal of NFL star, OJ Simpson.
In a heartbreaking twist, Kris's then-husband, Robert Kardashian, came to prominence as part of Simpson's defence team - a move which is said to have divided the Kardashian family.
Opening up about Nicole's struggles with ex-husband OJ, Kris regrets that she didn't insist Nicole divulge more about her relationship so that she may have been in a position to offer help.
"I will always feel guilty that I didn’t pay more attention and didn’t speak up when I thought anything was wrong or asked her more, ‘Do you want to talk about it?," she says.
Most shockingly, it would seem Nicole foresaw her own untimely demise and communicated her fears to Kris and acquaintances - something which the reality star acknowledged during the documentary.
"The one thing she would tell all of us by the time, you know, it got to that level was, “He’s going to kill me and he’s going to get away with it," admits the famous mum-of-six.
According to Kris, Nicole, tragically, realised the importance of speaking up and informing people of her worries when it was too late.
"At the end of Nicole’s life, I think she finally was at a place where she knew she had to be more vocal with what was going on and she was in trouble," explained the 59-year-old star.
Nicole, who was mother of two children now aged 30 and 27, was found dead at her home in Brentwood LA on June 12th 1994 having sustained multiple stab wounds to her head and neck.
