Singer and entrepreneur Jessica Simpson has come in for major criticism today, with viewers of the Home Shopping Network accusing her of being drunk during last night's slot.
The mother-of-two was appearing on the channel to promote her clothing and accessories lines, but her unusual behaviour appears to have done more harm than good for both her brand and her personal image.
As well as stumbling, swaying and slurring her words during her presentation, Jessica also kept bizarrely wandering off the screen before reappearing.
Viewers took to social media to call Jessica out for her behaviour, with one tweeting: “Ummm pretty sure Jessica Simpson is wasted on her debut on HSN.”
“I’m going to say Jessica Simpson is D-RUNK. And now. Wasn’t watching until I was alerted to it. WOW,” wrote another.
Many also believed that Jessica’s mum Tina’s surprise cameo on the show was a planned decoy to detract from the star’s scandalous behaviour.

This isn’t the first time that Jessica has been accused of being under the influence while making a public appearance. Viewers of her Teen Vogue Fashion University interview with Extra earlier this year called her out for swaying and rambling through her answers, suggesting that she was drunk at the time.
