Whether they’re acting alongside each other or cooking up family meals in the kitchen, it’s safe to say that Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are a perfect match.
And with the couple celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary this week, proud mum Sarah Michelle took to social media to share a very sweet tribute to her husband.
Posting a gorgeous throwback shot of the pair enjoying a romantic moment, the 39-year-old wrote: “Happy anniversary Freddie. You stole my heart, so I got my revenge and took your last name!”
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star’s million-strong Insta following were tickled pink by the very public display of affection, with many fans branding them ‘marriage goals’.
Sarah Michelle and Freddie first met on the set of their 1997 movie I Know What You Did Last Summer, and went on to marry in 2002.
They have two children together: six-year-old daughter Charlotte and four-year-old son Rocky.
Sarah Michelle previously put her marriage success with Freddie down to being present and mindful of one another.
“Take the 10 minutes – put the phone down. Have a cup of coffee together. Walk the dog at the end of the night. Read a story with your kids. Make the most of the time that you have. We are all pulled in so many directions, so make sure that, whichever one you are focusing on, you’re present,” she told People.
