Fans everywhere were rocked this week by the news that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have decided to go their separate ways, and now fresh details have emerged regarding their plans going forward.

The couple have three children together – nine-year-old Violet, six-year-old Seraphina and three-year-old Samuel – and it appears that they are going to extreme lengths to normalise the split for their kids.

According to reports, the couple are planning on living together on the same property, albeit in different sections of their 83-acre Brentwood estate.

A source told Us Weekly: “They don’t want this to be War of the Roses. They want it to be simple and this takes the drama out of it. It is important for them to keep this nice and efficient for the sake of their family.”

The couple, who were married 10 years on Monday, released a statement this week confirming that they were ending their marriage.

The source added: “They’ve been married for a long time and tried to make it work for many years. They eventually realised this is the best thing to do for their family. They don’t want it to be contentious…There is love there.”

The couple are said to have hired a mediator to expedite the divorce proceedings in the most amicable way possible, and are committed to co-parenting their three children.
