She has found herself at the centre of scrutiny and criticism in recent times, and has taken to social media on a number of occasions to blast various reports. It was a heartfelt topic that singer Lily Allen touched on today however, on Twitter.

The star took to the micro-blogging site today to pay tribute to the son she lost five years ago, who has inspired her latest track, Something’s Not Right, from the Pan soundtrack.

“5 years ago today I was admitted to hospital. 4 days later I delivered a beautiful baby boy, but sadly he didn’t make it,” wrote the 30-year-old.

Lily added: “It’s unlike me to discuss this sort of thing so publicly but I wrote this song in his memory when writing something for Pan. Please listen and if you fancy it, you could donate in his memory. Much love, Lil.”

She went on to share a link to Sands, an organisation that raises funds and awareness for those affected by stillbirth and neonatal death.

Lily, who is married to Sam Cooper, is also mum to daughters Ethel and Marnie.
