In the midst of so much sad news, it’s always lovely to finish the day on a happy note – and this evening’s joyful report comes courtesy of former Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr.
The world-famous mum is celebrating wonderful news this week, after becoming engaged to her boyfriend of a year, Evan Spiegel.
A representative for Evan – a co-founder of Snapchat – shared the news with Us Weekly, with Miranda going on to confirm it via Instagram.
The 33-year-old posted a photo of her engagement bling, featuring a rather apt emoji of Evan popping the question to her on one knee.
“I said yes!!!” wrote Miranda, in the caption, much to the delight of her nine-and-a-half million-strong Instagram following.
Miranda was, of course, previously married to Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom. The former couple, who are on great terms, are parents to five-year-old son Flynn.
Miranda and Evan officially stepped out as a couple last summer, and recently found themselves at the centre of marriage rumours. We guess the gossip turned out to be correct – for once!
