As mums, we do all we can to ensure our kids are happy, healthy and safe at all times, the exact things this mums wanted for her young daughter.

When five-year-old Georgia Edwards found out that her favourite band One Direction are to take a break for a year, the little girl was understandably heartbroken by the news.

Georgia suffers from Rett Syndrome, a devastating neurological disorder, and her mum and dad, Katie and Gavin, decided to try to get the band, who has helped the youngster through the toughest 12 months, to meet their daughter before they did part ways.

But when Katie and Gavin set up a Facebook page in order to spread the word, they weren’t expecting the campaign to be spotted by Louis Tomlinson’s mum, Johannah Deakin.

Johannah then sent the family a message to say that the band would like to invite Georgia to one of their gigs and meet them back stage.

"I can't put in to words how we're feeling. When we told Georgie this morning her beautiful face lit up- she's on cloud nine," Katie delightedly told to the Daily Post.

Talking about the campaign, which used the hashtag #Georgies1Dwish, Katie thanked everyone involved: "Thank you so much to you guys at the Daily Post and everyone who got behind the campaign. It's about man power and you've literally made a little girl's dream come true."

We bet Georgia cant wait to meet the boys!
