He may not have been around for the highly-anticipated Royal birth last weekend, but the newborn Princess Charlotte is at the fore of Prince Harry’s thoughts as he travels around Australia.

The 30-year-old Prince opened up on the latest addition to the Royal family during an interview earlier today, and he was typically doting as he discussed his new niece.

“I’m looking forward to meeting her,” said Harry, adding, “She is beautiful.”

And if Harry’s comments to reporters outside the Macquarie University Hospital this morning are anything to go by, he won’t be arriving empty-handed!

Harry, who is due to move on to New Zealand this weekend, revealed that he will have plenty of treats for the new little princess.

“I’ve been given a hell of a lot of cuddly toys this morning, and other things,” he added.

Harry has been travelling around the country for the past month, meaning he missed the buzz of Princess Charlotte’s birth last Saturday morning.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge left Kensington Palace for their country retreat at Anmer Hall, and have appealed to local media and photographers to respect their privacy.
