Pregnancy is a magical time for any woman, and while many mums-to-be have been taking to social media to share their wonderful news, the feedback isn’t always as pleasant as one might expect.

This appears to be the case for Welsh reality star Lateysha Grace, who announced her pregnancy on Instagram this week.

Lateysha, who is best known for starring in the controversial reality show The Valleys on MTV, took to the photo-blogging site to show off her blossoming baby bump, writing: “I can finally take bump pics. 24 weeks.”

The reality star then went on to flaunt her bump in a cut-out swimsuit, appearing to address negative comments about her baby body as she wrote: “You can call me fat all you like…but the thing is, it doesn’t hurt me! I’m carrying a child, one of the most amazing things a woman can do, so I’m going to embrace it!”

“I don’t mind being ‘fat’ ATM [at the moment],” she added.

Thankfully, a number of Lateysha’s fans jumped to her defence, with one writing: “You’re far from fat! People who say you are, are deluded and obviously have nothing better to do in life than slag off pregnant women…You look amazing and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.”

Of course, Lateysha isn’t the only pregnant woman to face body shaming in recent times, with model Sarah Stage being criticised over her pregnancy figure.

Pregnancy is such a special time, and it’s great to see this mum-to-be embracing the changes to her body.
