Her own fight with Lyme disease has been well-documented in the media in recent times, but this reality star dropped a major bombshell regarding her famous children last night.

Appearing at the Global Lyme Alliance Gala in New York last night, Real Housewives star Yolanda Foster revealed that her children Bella and Anwar have also been fighting a secret battle with the disease.

In a powerful speech, the 51-year-old said: “When my two youngest children, Bella and Anwar, were also diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease in early 2012, watching my babies struggle in silence in order to support me in my journey struck the deepest core of hopelessness inside of me.”

Yolanda was presented with the Power of One award by her eldest daughter, model Gigi Hadid, and she dedicated the honour to her children in a moving speech.

“This award is for Anwar and Bella. This is my token and my promise to you that I will not allow you to live a life of pain and suffering. I will walk to the end of the earth to find a cure so that you can live a healthy life that you deserve. No child should suffer the way that you do,” she said.

Lyme disease is an infection caused by the bacteria ‘borrelia burgdorferi’, which is carried by ticks. For a full list of symptoms and signs of the condition, check out this link.
