Nine-year-old Callum McGilligan is having his dreams come true with the help of fellow Geordie, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

The Fight For This Love singer felt compelled to help Callum when she learned that the young boy was fighting a rare brain condition.

Callum, who has spent the last few months in Great North Children's Hospital n Newcastle, was diagnosed with a disease which affects just one in ten million children across the world.

Eager to raise awareness and funds for the condition, the X Factor judge has been donating signed merchandise and offered her services in the hopes that Callum's final wishes can be realised.

According to the Newcastle Chronicle, the little boy hopes to have his back garden transformed into a play area, visit the Harry Potter studios in London and meet the stars of WWE wrestling, all of which Cheryl is determined to have happen.

Thinking of Callum and his family at this time.
