Each baby is unique in their own way, so it only follows that they require an equally special moniker. For US TV star, comedian and new father Seth Meyers, this is certainly the case for his baby son!
Star of Late Night with Seth Meyers, the show host was back to work last night, and he dedicated a portion of his introduction to the birth of his son, on Easter Sunday.
Seth, who welcomed the tot with wife Alexi Ashe, finally revealed the name chosen for the newborn, along with its very special meaning.
Officially announcing the naming of little Ashe Olson, Seth confirmed that ‘Ashe’ was chosen after his wife’s maiden name, while ‘Olson’ was specially selected after his own mother’s maiden name.
During the show, Seth also revealed that little Ashe was almost born in the backseat of an Uber taxi!
Recounting the journey to the hospital with his wife, he joked to the audience: “She’s on her knees on the backseat holding on to me...She was screaming out the window...Only in New York could you drive that way and not have people say, 'That woman is being abducted!'”
It sounds like it was a very dramatic dash!
