Now that the Royal baby buzz is finally beginning to subside after the birth of Princess Charlotte, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are focusing on family life with their newest addition.

With the couple spotted leaving Kensington Palace and heading for their country residence, Anmer Hall in Norfolk yesterday, a new plea has been sent out to the media.

Kate and William, who welcomed their second child last Saturday, have appealed to local media and paparazzi to give them some privacy as they get their daughter settled in.

Appealing for “acts of harassment and breaches of privacy to cease”, the Cambridges issued a stern warning to any lurking photographers.

A letter issued by the parents read: “There have in the past been a number of intrusions into the privacy of the Royal Family which in the main have been as a result of professional photographers using long-distance lenses, not only to observe the Royal Family but also to photograph them going about their activities on the estate.”

Acknowledging that instances of this intrusion had greatly decreased in recent times, they added: “We would remind you again of the position. The Sandringham Estate trusts that there will not be a need to take any further action other than bringing these points to your attention.”

The couple will be spending the first few weeks of their daughter’s life in the country estate, which was gifted to them by the Queen.

We hope local media will respect the family’s wishes as they get to know their gorgeous new addition.
