This famous mum has hit the headlines numerous times since she gave birth to her daughter, North, but Kim Kardashian is determined to show critics that her hopes and aspirations for her daughter are no different to any other loving mum's.

Opening up about the relationship she hopes to share with her daughter in the future, the 34-year-old reality TV star told People magazine: "I hope that I have the same relationship with her that I do with my mom and that she is my best friend."

Hoping the lovely North, more often known as Nori, follows in her older generation's footsteps, Kim reveals: "My grandmothers and my mom all just displayed a really strong work ethic, a strong family sense and really instilled that within me and my sisters at a young age."

Aware that North's upbringing and exposure to publicity is unconventional, Kim wants her little girl to surmount any obstacles put in her way as she grows, saying: "[I hope] that she is just a strong, powerful woman and is very confident."

Like her mum, Kim admits that her little girl has quite an impressive collection of selfies and explained that North wasn't even aware she was taking them!

Happy to share the sweet story with People readers, Kim joked: "She has a computer of mine with all these movies and music on it, and I was just using it, and I noticed the Photo Booth. There were all these selfies of her, that she doesn't realise she's taking, but she presses it, and it's so funny."

We think North sounds like an adorable little girl!

I hope that I have the same relationship with her that I do with my mom and that she is my best friend
