1. Ballinasloe Horse Fair and Festival 2015

Dating back to the 17th Century, Ballinasloe Horse Fair is Europe’s oldest horse fair and is a great way to spend an afternoon. Starting on Saturday, 3rd and running until Sunday, 11th October, this is a festival for the whole family.

2. Nire Valley Autumn Walking Festival 2015

Now in its 22nd year, the Nire Valley Autumn Walking Festival offers fantastic walking routes with excellent local guides as well as plenty of talking with like-minded friends. With walks to suit all abilities and ages, this is a festival that will help you shake off the cobwebs and get you out in the fresh air.
