A teenage boy is in custody after stabbing a 16-year-old girl to death for refusing to go to a high school dance with him.
Police said the said the teen girl, Maren Sanchez was attacked by the unnamed boy at Jonathan Law High School in the US.
A teenage boy is currently in custody and being questioned by the police.
Sanchez's best friend, Imani Langston said Maren was stabbed by the boy for refusing to go the high school dance with him.
“He asked her to the prom right there — and she rejected him."
Maren shared her excitement on Facebook about going to the dance the night before, when she shared a picture of her posing in her prom dress.
