Congratulations are in order for actress Sara Gilbert and her wife, musician Linda Perry, who welcomed their first child together this week.
Sara’s co-host on The Talk, Julie Chen, confirmed the couple’s lovely news, announcing: “Our very own Sara and her wife Linda are the proud parents of a new baby boy, and both mother and child are doing well.”
Sara and Linda have reportedly named their bundle of joy Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry.
While this is the first child for the couple, Sara is already mum to seven-and-a-half-year-old daughter Sawyer and 10-year-old son Levi from a previous relationship.
Sara first announced their pregnancy back in September, surprising her The Talk co-stars during a ‘Face Your Fears’ episode, where each one had to confront something that scared them.
When told she would have to lie on a bed of nails, Sara, best known for her role in Roseanne, said: “I really do believe in facing your fears and doing things that make you uncomfortable, but I actually can’t do the dare because I’m pregnant.”
