She was the driving force behind a campaign to stop paparazzi from photographing the children of celebrities, but it seems there is another issue that Kristen Bell is equally passionate about – vaccinating.

The actress, who is mum to two young daughters (23-month-old Lincoln and two-month-old Delta), shared her no-nonsense rule regarding vaccinations this week.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 34-year-old said: “When Lincoln was born, the whooping cough epidemic was growing, and before she was two months old, we simply said, ‘You have to get whooping cough vaccination if you are going to hold our baby.'”

She added that she and her husband, actor Dax Shepard, had implemented the same rule with their second daughter, saying: “It’s a very simple logic. I believe in trusting doctors, not know-it-alls.”

Kristen’s comments come amid a major debate in the US over whether or not to vaccinate, following a measles outbreak.

The star is not known for holding back in her interviews, as she demonstrated yesterday in a hilarious appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Recalling her labour with second daughter Delta, during which she had an emergency Caesarean section, she admitted that she ‘enjoyed’ her epidural.
