It looks we’re gearing up for another royal wedding as Pippa Middleton is engaged to hedge fund manager, James Matthews.
The couple decided to embrace the great weather over the weekend by going for a walk in the Lake District where James got down on one knee with a diamond ring and asked Pippa to marry him.
The couple had a short-lived romance back in 2012 before rekindling last year.
And although it won't technically be a royal wedding, we have no doubt that this will be the most talked about nuptials since her sister Kate's five years ago.
No doubt Pippa will be firmly in the spotlight as she unexpectantly was back in 2011 when some say she stole the show thanks to ‘that dress’.
Pippa was the Duchess of Cambridge’s maid of honour at the ceremony in Westminster Abbey where her stunning Alexander McQueen figure-hugging white gown attracted huge praise with many saying she upstaged big sister Kate.
The newly engaged couple seem to be already doing things the traditional way as James made sure he had permission from Michael Middleton before popping the question.
“James is a traditionalist and very much wanted to do things properly. That meant getting his future father-in-law’s consent” a friend close to the couple told The Daily Mail.
The couple were first spotted last September when they were seen taking James’ dog for a walk.
Pippa left James’ home the next morning with a bunch of red roses in hand.
Since then it’s been hard to find them apart, going to carol services at Christmas to spending New Years in St Bart’s, things got very serious very fast for the newly engaged couple.
James is now going to face a lot more media attention, a concept not totally foreign to him as his brother Spencer Matthews has lived the majority of his adult life in the spotlight thanks to shows like Made in Chelsea and I’m a Celebrity...
And as the Middleton’s get ready for one wedding another could be on the way any day now as Kate’s brother James and girlfriend Donna Air seem to be heading towards the aisle.
Speaking to Fabulous magazine recently, Donna said of their relationship:
"I feel like I've already had a marriage of sorts. But would I like to have an official one? Yeah. Hell, why not! I always say you have to try everything once."
Donna, who is already a mum to 12-year-old daughter Freya from a previous relationship, went on to speak about the possibility of more children in the future.
"Marriage is important and it's a nice foundation if you have children."
"I'm very happy and have got an amazing daughter. Sure, why wouldn't I do it again? I'm happy now, but I'm open to more."
But unlike Prince William and Kate, Donna says a lavish wedding isn’t for her.
“The thought of a big wedding... I would rather just go for lunch.”
