thanks for choosing our dry skinned family to participate in this very relevant trial :) i had previously seen aveeno products in stores, but never tried them before as i am very particular about what i use on my childrens (aged 1&2) skin as unluckily they inherited their fathers dry skin.
they have dry patches on their feet, elbows and also behind their knees, where as my partner has very dry skin on his head. it is easy to manage once it is kept on top of and monitored to prevent it becoming severe.
before trying aveeno products we used baby products for bathing and also liquid parafin, which we applied after bathing to skin and also when changing nappies
we found the aveeno products great, everyone tried them. it was like they left a protective layer on the skin, which lasted for days (we bath children twice a week). the red/dry patches completely disappeared after a few uses. the products were very east to use and apply. they also worked wonders on both my partner and my own skin.
the wash was extremely easy to use and i was surprised at how gentle it was on the skin, as we usually only used baby products for bathing.
all our family will continue to use aveeno products, as it has improved all of our skin. we have already stocked up as it was available on special offer in our local supermarket :)

I actually used the Aveeno products while I was pregnant – I had a very itchy belly towards the end of my pregnancy and Aveeno worked a treat on calming that down. So I was excited when this trial came about as I was unaware that any of their products were suitable for babies.
My 11 month old daughter does not suffer from eczema however she has always had particulary dry legs. We found a cream through a mummypages trial previously that I was really happy with however following this trial I think we will be changing over to Aveeno.
The products are very easy to use and we made them part of our daily bathtime routine. The Emollient Wash was lovely and soft to wash with and did not cause any irritation. The cream is also lovely to use – goes on easy and does not leave a film on her skin. Like I said, I had found a cream that worked for us and by that I meant that it hydrated Mia’s skin and the dryness was gone. This cream went a step further – it left Mia’s skin feeling AMAZINGLY soft as well as hydrated. That makes it a winner in my book.
I would be delighted to recommend this product as it has worked so well for us.

My son is 18 months old and ever since he was born, he has had dry skin all down the trunk of his body. I have tried everything to get rid of it from aqueous cream, silcocks base, E45, every johnsons product available, Elave, Boots own brand cream and last but not least pure Vaseline (as recommended by my doctor). Absolutely none of these products worked on him and I had come to the conclusion that it was the hard water in our area that was causing it and had started looking into buying a water softner before trying Aveeno.

I was aware of Aveeno products as I had extremely itchy skin when I was pregnant and my doctor recommended that I use the menthol Aveeno cream which worked a treat. I have gone on to recommend this product on facebook parenting pages and have had loads of positive responses from women who have used it.

Anyway, back to the product at hand. I have been using this cream with extreme scepticism all week and I have to say that it is a fantastic product. His skin has cleared up a lot and although not completely gone, it has worked better than anything else that I have used. The bath wash has the same consistency as the acqueous cream in that it doesn't lather or foam up on the skin. It goes on like a cream which is great as it doesn't strip the skin of natural oils which my son dearly needs!

The moisturing cream has been used by my son and also by my husband. My husband likes that it is a really intensive moisturiser with no scent which means that he can use it too, Supposedly all the other body moisturisers in the house smell too girly and he would never buy a moisturiser for himself so Aveeno suits him nicely. The moisturiser was great on my sons skin, it soaked in immediately so I could dress him quickly and I didn't have to wait for it to dry in.

I would highly recommend these two products and will definitely be purchasing them in future.

Hi,
Thanks for giving us the chance to try Aveeno Dermexa. I had heard good reports previously. My 2 youngest have dry skin. My youngest was very bad. Used the body wash and cream. My little girl was fine but unfortunately i had to stop using it on my little boy. He was starting to react to it. I dont know what is wrong with his skin. But doctor prescribed steroid cream with another moisturiser and hes fine now.

I have been using the cream and bath wash for a week now. I can see a huge improvement in the baby's skin. She is 8 months old and has very dry flaky skin. It is also fantastic on her red rashy cheeks from teething. I would highly recommend. So far so good!

My little boy is almost 1 and has had very dry skin, especially when he is teething. I started to use the Aveeno Dermexa over a week ago and I cannot get over the difference in his skin. He is like a new child.
I would suffer a bit with dry skin myself and have noticed a huge change.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone who suffers in anyway.

Hi, I have been using both the products for almost 2 weeks now and the difference in both my skin and my son's is fantastic. He is just shy of 18 months and has always had flaky skin if I didn't put baby oil in the bath, but I found that the oil was making his hair a bit on the greasy side so I was looking for a product that took care of that problem. As we all know, winters make our skin dry to begin with so if we already have skin problems it's alot worse. The lotion was by far the best of the 2, as I did notice that the soap almost dried out our skin if we didn't follow up with the lotion. Any which way, they are great for any skin type and should be bought together if you want the best results. It makes the skin so smooth and soft, and the patches of redness on both our skins have stopped! I myself have eczema on both my elbows and have always used E45 to stop the itching, but the Aveeno lotion worked so much better. I will definitely be using these products in the future and am so glad I was able to sample them. It's so hard these days fidning the right product without having to spend a fortune on products that don't work. Thank you for letting me participate in this trial and I look forward to many more.

I had used Aveeno before but on a limited capacity, I have their Hand Cream (made with colloidal oatmeal) and I find it excellent. Ellen’s skin is ok, she seems to get dry patches on her legs and her back and sides would be quite scaly. It doesn’t seem to irritate her too much but I don’t like feeling it as her skin should be soft to the touch. I would have dry skin myself, very flaky which doesn’t seem to improve despite lots of different creams. We have used Welda products in the past on her and also acquesious cream. We also put bio-oil on her after her bath, when she is still wet. I think we are guilty of not using creams often enough, should be putting it on each night
So when I got the products from Aveeno I started using them – used the cream wash in the bath every few days and used the cream every night on her skin before bed. We don’t bath Ellen every night but on the nights that we did we used both the wash and then the cream on her skin.
Firstly the feel of the cream is a bit different , a grainy look from it but not to touch. The feel of the cream on my own hands was lovely, soft and was absorbed easily into the skin and afterwards her skin felt lovely and soft. It also didn’t have too strong a smell which is good but some people might prefer a more perfumed smell. We even found the next morning that it still felt soft & hadn’t fully rubbed off during the night. We continued to use it for the few weeks and really did notice an improvement in her skin especially her back which is now very soft.
I would definitely use the Aveeno products again and they are often on offer too so it means they are good value. The only feedback that I would have is re the wash; while I love the idea of a cream wash it is great to be able to use a wash that you can use on the hair and the body instead of having to have 2 different products. As for the body lotion, that is what I am looking for in a lotion – thick but fast absorbing and immediately soft to the touch.

My little man now four months was born with very bad Jaundice and had to go into an incubator for light treatment at two days old for three days. I noticed after we got him home that his skin had gotten very dry especially around the area on his forehead above his eyes where the billiband had been covering his eyes. I mentioned this to the midwife in my GPs as his poor little arms and legs aswell were very dry and flaky. She told me that the lights can have this affect and that he would be fine after a while if I used the a certain moisturiser. I asked around and people I knew recommened it too but it just didnt work for me. I tried many other creams but to no avail.

I never even thought of Aveeno as a brand for my baby until I saw this trial but even in the two short weeks that I have been using the products his skin is totally different! Its soft and so gentle to the touch and he loves getting his little massage now with the cream after his bath because it doesnt hurt his skin when I rub it! Delighted! He's happy and I'm happy so would Highly recommend this product!

Hi,
Thanks for selecting me to trial this product. I had heard of Aveeno previously having used the Aveeno Moisturising Body wash which my husband and I found tobe very soothing on the skin. My four month old has eczema and severe dry and red skin which causes her distress and discomfort. I feel helpless in trying to relieve her discomfort.

The products I'd previously been using on my daughter's skin as recommended by the GP were Emulisifying Ointment to be used as a moisturiser which I found very thick and hard to apply, aqueous cream to be used in the bath and hydrocortisone cream to be used when her skin is extremely red and inflamed.I noticed a big difference in my daughter's skin from day 1 of the trial. The Aveeno Dermexa Soothing Emolient Cream was easy to apply, absorbed into the skin easily and soothed her skin and eased her discomfort. The Aveeno Dermexa Soothing Emolient Wash was easy to use, gentle and soothing on my daughter's skin. I didn't use the Emolient Wash every day as suggested as my daughter doesn't have a bath every day. When I did bath her, as well as using the emolient wash, i would use the emolient cream after her bath as recommended. Both products definately improved her skin and have eased her discomfort.
My daughter is sleeping better and her discomfort and distress have eased dramatically. She's much happier and less irritable. After two weeks use, her skin has improved and is so much smoother and less irritable and less red. I have only used the hydrocortisone cream once in all that time and only on a very small area.

Aveeno Dermexa is the product for my daughter. It's soothing, easy to apply and absorbs easily into the skin and is fragrance free. I highly recommend this product range to all my family and friends. :)

After only using the Aveeno Dermexa for a few days, i have really noticed a big difference in my daughters skin. My daughter gets eczema on the back of her legs, belly, back and arms. She's not scratching half as much since i started using it. I also found the Dermexa wash very good and it left her sking lovely and smooth. I certainly will continue to use both these products on my daughter. I even used the Aveeno Dermexa for dry skin on my own hands and really found a big difference in only 2 days.

Unfortunately it didn't agree with my little girl & her eczema flared up & got very red & itchy. Obviously all children are different & this just didn't suit us!

Hi mummies...
First id like to thank mummy pages for choosing me to take part in this trial, my little boy, 5 months old, had really bad eczema, all over his body, he scratches all the time, cutting into his wee skin. So i was reccomeneded by a friend to use the aveeno products on him, id previously been using the bath/shower oil and found it great for moisturising his skin. Since starting to use the aveeno dermexa it has been working well, i was amazed at how fast it started to improve his skin. His skin isnt as raw looking anymore but unfortunetely he still has the bad itch, resulting in him scraping himself all the time. it helped clear up his elly, chest and back very well, although his legs and arms and face are all still there in patches. I will continue to use the bath products as i find them brilliant, they absorbed into the skin brilliant and my baby loves me massaging it in to him. . The only main thing i would add is with dry skin/eczema i find if you miss out on an application one day you will notice the skin drying out loads again. i would like to see a aveeno product made especially for babies face as it is so sensitive i be very wary of what i put on his face.
Thanks again for letting us take part in this trial

I used the Aveeno DERMEXA on my 18 month old who has moderate dry skin on his back and arms. I found the bathwash a lovely consistensy and combined with the mosituriser they have greatly improved his skin. His back is now beaufully soft and healthy. His arms are still a little rough but definately improved. I was using an Aveeno moisturiser previously but find this one much beeter as it seems to be formulated more for people with dry skin.
