Thanks for letting me be part of the trial. I had never noticed these in shops before in the microwaveable packs. They are very handy just to pop into the microwave, I love peas and was hoping that these new pots would encourage my daughter to try them but nfortunately she wouldn't. Not to worry though as all the more for me!
Very handy to pop into dishes such as shepherd's pie and other pies.
I will more than likely purchase these in the shop in the future.

Thank you for having us as part of your product taste panel. My memories of tinned peas fom my childhood unforrtunately may have tainted this review but I really did not like these peas at all. However my two children thought they were lovely prefering these to petit pois & happily devoured a pack between them as a snack. They both loved the juice they came in too. I may buy them the odd time as healthy snack for the kids but they are expensive to use regularly. I also found that although the pots are very sturdy the perforated edge when you seperate them can be get quite sharp for kids.

The evening I received these in the post I was reheating leftover cottage pie for dinner. These peas made the perfect accompaniment. So easy to use and taste nice. The only issue I would have is when I snapped one pack off, the plastic covering on the other side ripped off too. You would need to use scissors to separate instead of just snapping them.

I will more than likely buy these again at some point, depending on the price!

Thanks for sending me some Easy Peasy peas to try, I had honestly never heard of them until you sent them to me
We eat a lot of peas here as they are a handy veg so was looking forward to trying these, they really are foolproof 1 minute in the microwave and they are done, they stay nice and juicy I did drain them though , they tasted really good
To be honest I will buy them to have in the press for days where I am very pushed for time or when my oldest son comes in from college late so has missed dinner ( freshly cooked veg is alwasys nicer) but dont think I could afford to use them everytime we have peas as they would work out quite expensive - suppose thats the price of convenience
Just to add the fact they are gluten free is a bonus, I often have a coeliac visitor for dinner

Thanks for the opportunity to take part in the Batchelor peas trial. As a family we frequently eat a lot of the Batchelor range of products, but usually buy the tins.
In relation to the easy peas, they were not so easy to get out of the cardboard packaging. I struggled to break apart the set of 2 pots, and then I also had difficulty to open the film on the top of the pot before placing in the microwave to heat. While trying to get the film off I spilt some of the peas! The peas tasted fine, but maybe a bit hard, I think the peas in the tins are softer ? We had them with fish fingers and potatoes one evening and with a roast chicken dinner another day. The serving is really only sufficient for 2 adults or 1 adult & 2 kids. I don't think I'd buy them as there is a lot of packaging, cardboard on the outside and then 2 plastic pots, film etc - it's a lot of packaging versus 1 tin in my opinion. I have no problem putting the contents of a tin into a bowl and covering with a saucer to heat. Also they were not easy open and liable to spills. I think I will stick to the tins for the time being, they can easily be recycled.

I have always used the Batchelors tins of peas and find peas very handy to add a serving of veg to a meal as they are very convenient. I love peas as there is no need to add extra sauce to the meal as they are moist. I really liked the taste of these peas and thought they were more tender than the tinned ones. They are handy if you are cooking dinner for one or two as the serving size is small and you don't end up having to split a tin. However when serving more people I think a tin would be more convenient. The one downside to these peas is the packaging. It is very difficult to open and I ended up spilling it all over myself and the work top.
I would buy these again to have in the cupboard for a handy side to a small meal but will stick to the tins for family meals.

I can't argue with how convenient they were but unfortunately the taste was just not there- we all found them very bland and in fact never got around to eating the second pot! Quite disappointing and the texture was harder than I had hope also! Sorry for negative post but just gotta be honest! I was so excited to try them and everything else was great including packaging, ease of opening, ease of cooking but fundamentally the taste let them down!!
