The lavish family gathering, which was planned to celebrate the impending arrival of Kim's second child, has been cancelled as the Kardashian / Jenner family hold a bedside vigil for former La Lakers star Lamar Odom.
Lamar, who was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel on Tuesday, has been fighting for his life as his internal organs continue to suffer under the conditions of a suspected drug overdose.
The famous Calabasas clan, who have also insisted family takes precedence above all else, have remained true to their word this week as various members visited Lamar and appealed to the public to keep the 35-year-old sports star in their thoughts and prayers.
A source has opened up about the family's decision to put all prior engagements on hold as they struggle to come to terms with the possible implications of Lamar's emergency hospitalisation,
Speaking on behalf of Kim, who announced her second pregnancy in May, the insider explained the star's decision, simply saying: "She’s totally focused on being there for Khloé right now."
In an incredibly poignant twist, it is understood that Kanye and Kim's highly-anticipated baby shower was due to take place in the same venue which hosted Khloé and Lamar's wedding ceremony back in 2009.
