Ed Sheeran is due to play a string of concerts around Ireland this month. The Thinking Out Loud singer will perform to thousands of fans across the country, with shows in Cork, Galway, Belfast, and Dublin.

The concert organisers have issued an important update ahead of his upcoming Irish gigs. Aiken Promotions have asked fans to bring ID that matches the name on their concert tickets to the gigs.

They have also urged fans to bring the card that they purchased the tickets with too.

People who bought tickets as a present for someone must provide the person with the credit card you purchased the tickets with or a photocopy of the card used.

They said, “You are required to bring your tickets along with the purchasing credit card or a photo/photocopy of the credit card and a valid form of ID to reflect the family name.”

People who fail to bring the correct ID may be refused entry to the concerts. People who purchased resold tickets may also be denied access to the Shape Of You singer’s gig.

The concert organisers added that all members of the one group must enter the venue together.

Fans have also been asked not to queue up before the gig. Aiken Promotions said, “The venue gates will open at 5 pm. No early queueing will be permitted."

Concert-goers are also not allowed to bring a bag unless it is completely necessary, “People without bags will be fast-tracked. If you must bring a bag it needs to be smaller than A4 size. Bags under A4 size will be subject to a search which will result in unnecessary queuing,” they warned.”

Ed Sheeran will kick off his Irish tour in Pairc Ui Caoimh in Cork on Friday, May 4, and will end his tour at Dublin’s Phoenix Park on May 19.
