Earlier this week, we shared the hilarious story of one American dad who has taken on the task of playing Elf-on-the-Shelf this Christmas, but it gets much cuter than that!
Dad blogger Alan Lawrence, from Utah, has stormed Instagram with his adorable and novel approach to the fun kids’ tradition, by turning his four-month-old son Rockwell into the elf.
Explaining the motivation behind the idea, Alan – who blogs at That Dad Blog – told Today: “All of our friends do Elf-on-the-Shelf, and I’ve always thought it was sort of creepy, but sort of fun…And I’m like, what if it was a real elf?”
“Of course, being parents, we already have the cutest little four-month-old. So we decided to make a fun series,” he added.
As you can see, the results – which have been shared to his Instagram account – have delighted and amused internet users all over the world. Rockwell certainly gets up to plenty of mischief, from ‘drinking’ syrup from the bottle to hitching a ride with some Barbies and sticking cookies into the VCR.
This little tot’s festive mischief has not just made our day, but our entire week – we’ll be checking in right up to the 25th!
