The former reality star didn’t realise what he was letting himself in for today, when he posted a photo of his two children – 23-month-old Teddy and four-month-old Ella – to the micro-blogging site.
While the picture of Ella and Teddy sitting in Dan’s car may have seemed innocent enough to the doting dad, he came in for major criticism for placing Ella in an ‘unsafe’ seating position.
Commenting on the photo, one follower wrote: “She really, really needs to be rear facing! If you crash her little bones aren’t strong enough! Please, please, please educate yourself on car seat safety!”
Another was quick to clarify that she wasn’t trying to hate on Dan, rather she wanted to make sure that Ella was safe, as she wrote: “She should not be facing forward at all. She wouldn’t be able to support the weight of her little head in an accident. Not saying it to be nasty at all, but you’re risking her life if you’re in a collision.”
Others, meanwhile, bashed those who criticised Dan, branding them ‘keyboard warriors’. It seems as though Dan heeded their warnings though, as he has since taken down the photo.
