As of yesterday, Clondalkin-native Kenneth and his fiancée, Karen Sullivan, are the very proud parents of a beautiful baby girl.
Taking to his social media channels late last night, the Fine Gael councillor, who won silver in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, shared the wonderful news with his legions of fans and followers.
Paying tribute to his newborn's mother, Kenneth shared some very important details, writing: "9 lb 5 baby Kate welcomed into the world at 5.15am. Well done @Karen__Sullivan. You are amazing."
Delighting his supporters, the sports star and politician uploaded a beautiful back and white shot of himself and his new daughter.
The image, which shows an incredible serene-looking Kenneth cradling a snoozing Kate, was captioned: "Kate Egan 7/10/15, Born 5.17am”.
33-year-old Kenneth and Karen, who got engaged last Christmas and announced Karen's pregnancy earlier this year, have been inundated with messages of support and congratulations since announcing their wonderful news.
