A cardiologist in Arizona has told CNN that he is unconcerned if his refusal to vaccinate his child causes other children to contract grave and sometimes life-threatening illnesses.

Speaking in the aftermath of a public appeal made by Dr. Tim Sacks who urged parents to vaccinate their child against measles after his daughter who is currently battling leukemia contracted the disease, Dr. Jack Wolfson said: "I'm not going to sacrifice the well-being of my child. My child is pure. It's not my responsibility to be protecting their child."

When mum Anna Jacks, whose daughter is currently battling luekemia, was asked how she feels about parents refusing to vaccinate their child, she said: "Your children don't live in a little bubble. Your children live in a big bubble. And my children live inside that bubble with your children."

When Dr. Wolfson was asked if he could live with himself knowing that his child had possibly caused the death of another child by being unvaccinated, the cardiologist replied: "I could live with myself easily. I'm not going to put my child at risk to save another child."
