I have tried Clonakilty sausages, rashers, white pudding and black pudding. Clonakilty sausages are the brand both myself and my Mum buy in our homes all the time.
I wasn’t aware that know Clonakilty Blackpudding is made using traditional methods combining beef, oatmeal, onions, beef blood and a secret blend of spices. My 10 year old son is a big fan of black pudding. He really enjoyed the pudding bites and said that they are his favourite pudding now.
I like that Clonakilty Ispíní, use 100% Irish pork - it is one aspect of the product that always appealed to me.
I used an oven and airfryer to cook these. The first time I used my airfryer. The pudding turned out perfectly. The sausages were lovely, although they tended to look a bit shrivelled a few minutes after being removed from the airfryer. Another day I cooked both products in the oven. The pudding again turned out great, it is a very easy product to work with. The cocktail sausages did not shrivel like in the airfryer but they didn't have the same golden colour from the oven.
I served them in a hot oven baked bread roll one day. Another, I included them as part of a full Irish breakfast. I also cooked some of the cocktail sausages and put them with scrambled eggs for my 5 year old as he loves to eat both,
It was very popular with the family, anyone who tried them really enjoyed them. The flavour from both was what everyone commented on. There is a lovely meatiness to the sausages and a nice kick of spice to the pudding.
The packaging is appealing as it has the distinctive Clonakilty colouring on it, you know when you buy it you are getting the same quality products as the existing Clonakilty range.
The packs were fantastic, I loved that they are resealable. That is one thing that often displeases me about products I would buy to make a cooked breakfast, once they are opened they either have to be cooked or frozen on the day. I like that these products are frozen and that I can take out as much or as little as I need depending on how many people I am feeding. It also means that I can have the makings of a nice meal in the freezer, ready to cook from frozen anytime. I always have eggs in the press and a tin of bins so with the pudding and cocktail sausages in the freezer there is always something quick and tasty available to cook. The cocktail sausages were also very handy for when my children's friends came to the house and when there were guests visiting for Christmas. It was nice to add them as an option to serve people for finger food.
We would certainly buy again. One of my sons wants to know when the white pudding version will be available to buy!
I would recommend. I found the pudding great to work with, so much easier than peeling off packaging, slicing it up and putting it on the pan. The cocktail sausages, because of the shrivelling and colour issue mentioned above, were not on par with the pudding. However, the convenience and taste would not let these issues deter me from a future purchase.

I have heard of the Clonakilty range before and have used their products many times including sausages, both white and black pudding and also their rashers - all really good and tasty. So I was delighted to try out their new products as was all the family.
I wasn't aware that the black pudding was made using traditional methods. And I wasn't aware that Clonakilty Ispni was 100% Irish pork.
So we used our airfryer to cook both products as that is our preferred way of cooking in our house. We got the products just in time for Xmas so we cooked them several morning for breakfast and they were so nice. My kids loved the cocktail sausages and I loved both as did my husband but the black pudding was divine, just the way they cooked in the airfryer a little bit crispy they were really tasty. I would say the package was appealing and probably the right size. We all enjoyed them and the fact that they are frozen is great so handy. We would definitely be purchase them again and I've already recommended them to people. Thank you.

Thank you so very much for allowing us to take part in the trial for Clonakilty Blackpudding Bites and Clonakilty Cocktail Sausages. We loved them.
I’m very familiar with the Clonakilty range, and often buy their sausages and rashers. I hadn’t seen these new ones before now, so we were all excited to try them.
We used both oven and air fryer to cook them, and they worked out really well. My daughter loves sausages and pudding, and especially likes them in a sandwich – so we had them for breakfast one day and lunch another.
I really like the pack size – perfect for a quick breakfast or lunch, and brilliant if there’s only a few of you.
I will buy again, and I would recommend.

I really enjoyed trialling the Clonakilty sausages & Black Pudding Bites. They arrived just before Christmas which was perfect timing. They were so useful for breakfasts, snacks & party food.
We ate them as part of Christmas day breakfast, as a snack, in sandwiches for lunch and as part of the new years eve party.

I think my favourite thing about them apart from how delicious they are is how handy they are. As they're frozen & can be cooked from frozen quickly in the airfryer they are just so convenient. They also come in a resealable bag which is great.I knew I'd love the sausages but also enjoyed the puddings. I'd love to see a white pudding version. Also, I was surprised to read that the pudding is made from beef. My partner doesn't eat pork so he had his first pudding ever and loved it!

We were so excited to be part of this trial, we are big Clonakilty fans in our house, and couldn't wait to test out the new range. We tucked into them as soon as they arrived - it was tea time and we couldn't wait. I used the air fryer to cook both and the kids loved them, although I think the cocktail sausages were a firm favourite.

We also had them for breakfast on Christmas morning as we had family over, and they all agreed that the taste was amazing for both sausages and pudding.
I would recommend them to other mums - they are so so handy to have in the freezer, and only take minutes to make. Very impressed.
