Thank you so much for selecting us to be part of this!! I have never used icing as i thought it would be too complicated with my son so we used to make easy fairy cakes or rice crispy cakes. We do purchase siucra in our house hold. This product was so easy to use my son loved it on his fairy cakes and brought some into his teacher he was so proud. it tasted yummy and it was definitely a product i am purchasing on a regular basis

Thank you for selecting me to be part of this trial. We bake a lot in my house and always use siucra products. I found the icing very easy to use. It wasn't too hard too roll out unlike other brands and it was easy to create a smooth look on the cake even with small helping hands. I will definitely be buying it again for use on this year's Christmas Cake as it will be much easier than making my own!

Siúcra has always been part of my weekly shopping as I do a lot of home baking and during the summer months their Jam Sugar is a must for jam making.


When I recieved the icing to trial I had some own brand supermarket roll out icing in thehouse, left over from making halloween ghosts. There was a big difference in the taste of the two products with Siúcra winning.


The timing of this trial was perfect as I had my sons birthday so I used the icing to decorate his cake, I added some green colouring and it mixed perfectly into the icing so I was able to make a football pitch.


I would have preferred a larger pack size as I need two packs to cover the cake I made, but then again maybe the cake was too big!!!
It would make life and decorating cakes much easier and quicker if it was available in different colours as getting the colour mixed into evenly was time consuming.

Thank you so much for selecting me for this trial.I was very excited when I saw my name on the list.I tried Siucra granulated sugar and the icing sugar,and I was pleased to hear about the roll out icing as lately I'm baking more for my family.I've used it to cover a cake ,as it was my birthday over the weekend, and my girls helped me with the decorations.It was very easy to use comparing with other brands that I have used.The girls loved it, too. So, we will definitely used the Siucra roll out icing to cover the Christmas cake because it tastes realy good and it's so easy to work with.I would like to find it in more colours,it would be nice for decorating the girls birthday cakes!

In was excited to be selected in the trial coming up to my son's 2nd birthday. However, had a few problems getting the colours correct, and ended up having to change the design of his cake to make up for it. Would be perfect if I waussticking with white icing or a pale colour, but bright colours were not great. Texture and handling were good, loved that it was soft straight out of pack and didnt need lots of work to be pliable. Covered well and tasted good. A big hit!!

I have used Siucra Products for years, like the granulated and icing sugars. I am a keen baker and do so as often as possible so i am familiar with roll out icing.

I have to say i was impressed with Siucra Icing it has a nice consistancy and rolled out well, I made a maderia cake and layered it with jam and buttercream. I then covered it with the Siucra Icing .

It went on well and was as good if not better than any of the previous icings i have used in the past. It took colour well and was easy to work with.

The taste was nice and not too sweet as sometimes the icing can take away from the taste of what you have baked! It would be nice just for convience if Siucra brought of a range of colours and perhaps flavours which could save time if in a hurry.

Overall it was a successful trial with a good product.

Siurca has always been my first choice to buy when i am backing, i have used most of siucra products but it is the first time i have used ready to roll icing . I was very happy i was chooosen to test this ad my 7 year olds birthday was in november and he really wanted a robot cake , so i decide i would give it a go :) i found the icing very very easy to work with and i had a great time in using i will never try and make my own again i cannott recommend this highly enough :))

Another one that was delighted to be chosen for this trial, I would always use Siucra products for baking and they have never let me down
I was dying to try the roll out icing as had never attempted to ice using roll out icing before, I usually stick to buttercream on cupcakes
This was so so easy to use - there was absolutely no mess at all which totally surprised me, usually when the kids "help" me I am cleaning up for ages
I used one of the packets for cupcake toppers - rolled it out on a siliicone mat and used cookie cutters to make shapes - honestly so so easy and looked very professional if I say so myself
I also made a quick tea brack as a substitute Christmas cake to try the second packet out - again it was beyond easy to rollout and cover the cake with - I really like the way you can choose how thick a layer of icing to use and the fact that it doesent break up no matter what, it was also easy to smooth out the corners/edges as I am far from a brilliant cake decorator :)
Everything was demolished so that in itself means the taste was great too
I would really love if Siucra made this in different colours and think there is def a maket for it , it would be great to be able to buy green and red at Christmas etc

Overall I really enjoyed using this product and will def use it again and again, in fact I reckon that I will always have a packet in my baking press for any unexpected baking

Many thanks for choosing us to take part in this trial. We bake and decorate a lot in this house. I used the siúcra roll out icing to cover my daughters birthday cake. it was very easy to use and roll out. We coloured it too , easy to mix the colour in. Easy to store left over too in an airtight container. I will definitely use it again, such an easy and very handy product to have. would love to see it in a black and red colour as i find these very hard to colour mixing with white icing. Lovely taste. I've often bought Siucra products before so was aware of the brand. I do quite a bit of baking so at some stage or another have used most of their sugars!

I found the roll out icing to be quite easy to use. It kept its shape really well and was very easy to use - quite malleable and soft once out of the packaging, compared to other brands I've used in the past. I have just baked the christmas cake so this trial product came in very handy and is now on our cake! I actually quite liked the taste of the icing as it wasn't overly sweet - icing is something I normally would leave on the plate, but could see myself eating this particular icing along with the cake.
It would be great if there were some other colours introduced into the range for other occasions like birthdays, etc as I would definitely buy this product!

Thanks siucra and mummypages for the opportunity to test the roll out icing. I am well aware of the brand andhad sseen the roll out icing on the shelf in the supermarket. To be honest I never considered using it but now I have I will definitely be using it again. my 3 girls treated it as play dough and rolled cut and made shapes quite happily for an afternoon finishing up by eating it all. I added a small amount of food colour which was easy eenough to mix in. I used it to cover a small cake and loved how easy it was to roll out and use. tastewise I loved it... not sickly sweet like other brands, just right in my opinion. If it was available in other colours it would be fantastic but given how easy it was to colour myself it wouldn't be a huge inconvenience if it didn't. The packaging is very similar to the other products in this brand so whe that makes it easily recognisable it sort if fades into the background. overall tho a very good product a d one that I will definitely be buying again

I loved this as did my kids. I had never used a pre made icing before so I had no idea what to expect. I made some little buns and then rolled some of the icing out and the kids cut out shapes to add their own touches to the buns - this was fantastic fun!! I also made a bigger cake and iced that - the compliments I recieved on that were great. I can't wait to try this again agus adding colours to the icing - this certainly makes icing my cakes much easier. Thank you MummyPages for giving me the chance to try this brilliant product!

I always buy Siùcra products,from granulated sugar, icing sugar,caster sugar and brown sugar, but never bought the roll out icing as ive always made my own.i wonder now why i didnt use it sooner as it is so convient.i found it easy to roll out and work with and tasted delicous too.i used it to cover a biscuit cake for a birthday and everyone loved it. I used colouring to colour the cutouts i needed for the cake and it really worked well.When i am decorating my christmas cakes this year i will be purchasing Siùcra Roll Out Icing.Im recommending it to all my friends and family.

I have been using different products of the Siucra brand for a while now... We use the brown sugar for our daily use; I use the caster, granulated, and icing sugar regularly when baking and cooking.
I have never used roll out icing before so I have nothing to compare it to, but I really liked the product, the taste was great and the kids liked it which is the most important test of all! It was super easy to use and I can definitely recommend it to any novice...
I used the icing on a round chocolate cake and miniature long Christmas cakes it was very easy to use and so flexible. I will definitely use the roll out icing in the future again especially when baking for “special occasions” I think it finished the cakes off beautifully.
I would really be interested in using the icing in other colours and flavours for a variety of baked goods. But I will still buy the icing sugar as I love a cupcake with a bit of butter icingJ I think the roll out icing is something that anybody can use and will definitely recommend it.

I dont use ready made icing very often as i dont like the taste of it so i usually just make my own fondant, but after trying the siucra icing i am converted, i loved it.
My son is a big dr who fan so using his birthday as an excuse to try the icing out i wanted to make a tardis cake and the siucra icing let me accomplish that no problem. It was so easy to mould and after a bit of kneading it rolled out perfectly and it didnt fall apart when lifted to put on the cake which i find happens with other brands i have tried.
My biggest problem with ready made icing is the taste but this was lovely not too sweet and not dry and grainy, it was a big hit with all the family.
The only problem i would have is it would be nice to get it in different colours as its very hard to mix colour into it evenly and very messy, if they did come in different colours i would be using them instead of making my own, tastes just as good and so convenient.
I will definitely be using siucra icing for all my icing needs in the future!
