I was delighted to be asked to test this product. I always use Siucra sugar it's a traditional and what is more traditional than icing the Christmas cake! I am a very amateur baker but still love to bake at home and have the kids join in so anything that makes life easier works for me. I used two packs to fully ice a ten inch round cake. It was easy to roll out and tasted great. We also cut out star shapes to decorate and the kids ate the leftovers so even though we won't eat the cake for a few more weeks we know it tastes great! Would love if this product was available in coloured versions as would make the birthday cakes so easy too!

Thank you so much for letting us take part in this trial. We always use Siucra products in our house - castor sugar, icing sugar and granulated sugar. The Siucra Roll Out Icing is so handy and really really easy to use. We iced the Christmas cake using the roll out icing and it has never been so simple. Rolling it out was no trouble at all, and then we cut it out to fit the cake. We also coloured the icing to make decorations for the cake (mini Christmas tree shapes, holly and of course read berries - the kids loved helping with this part. The cake is now a work of art.
I would recommend Siucra roll out icing to everyone - looks great, easy to use and tastes great too.

Thanks for selecting me to take part in this roll out icing review. Although I would bake a lot & would be familiar with the siucra range, I rarely work with icing because I never seem to be able to get it right. I'm delighted to say that this new roll out icing is great to work with, really easy to roll out & great for making decorative shapes too. Even the kids were able to manage the icing so a fun afternoon was had by all plus my kids now think I'm a great cake maker too. I will be buying roll out icing from now on & will be recommending it to family & friends.

I used to use Siucra products all the time until the supermarkets brought out their cheaper own brand versions, some of which I was very happy with. However, roll out icing was one that I was never 100% happy with. I often eat lumps of the icing on its own while I'm working with it and found other brands to be either very sweet, not sweet enough or powdery. I was delighted when this trial came along and waited eagerly for the icing to arrive. I wasn't disappointed when it did. I decided to use it for icing a cake and making some decorations for the top of it. I found it very easy to work with. It softened up nicely while working with without getting sticky or too soft. It's very easy to use, even when adding colouring to it which mixes through it very well. My children enjoyed using it as well because it was so easy to work with and add their own colours to. The fact that it is ready to use is a definite plus. There's none of the usual mess to getting icing made and it's so time saving.
Everyone who tasted it really enjoyed it and I have to say it is deliciious!
For all the reasons above, I will definitely use this product again and would happily recommend it to anybody else to use. I would choose to use this rather than the regular icing products, although I would still buy icing sugar for things like making buttercream.
I would like to see it in a larger version also. It should save money buying a larger pack rather than lots of small packets for a large cake.
