Mums across Ireland can finally reclaim their ipads, e-books and MP3 players off their children. VTech has released the InnoTab, a new toy for kids that combines e-books, educational games, music, a photo viewer and an art studio all in one touch-screen, handheld tablet. This device is aimed at kids between the ages of 4 and 9.

The games, apps and e-reader are a great way of implementing learning into your child’s games. This tablet allows children to develop core skills such as reading, spelling, math, logic and creativity. Applications include an art studio, e-reader, photo viewer and video player. It comes complete with a state-of-the art gravity sensor control for superior motion based gaming and also has built-in auto picture rotation.

As the InnoTab functions as an educational tool, parents can monitor their child’s progress with a built-in tracker which can be downloaded using the VTech Learning Lodge Navigator – so if your child’s reading is progressing more than their maths, you can download extra games and learning apps that will suit your child. To download more games and apps visit www.vtechuk.com/download

Innotab is available in Argos, Amazon, Debenhams, Hamleys, Littlewoods, Smyths, and all other good toy retailers. The InnoTab console retails around €100 and software retails around €30.

We have five Innotabs that we would like mums (or rather their kiddies) to test out for us. To be part of this test, you must join this group and leave a comment below noting your interest to take part. Your child should be between the age of 4 and 9 to take part in this trial.

This product trial is now closed. Testers of the InnoTab are Julie-Anne McCarthy, Emma Heuston, Jennie O’Shea, Claire Murray and Liz Dunne-Byrne.

Hi all, my little beauty would love to have this for Christmas, but as with all toys, you wonder if they will get enough enjoyment out of it, more especially as times are different now. It would be great to have a test run and see if it is worth all the hype around it. We would be totally honest, and thank you for the chance to put our name forward to test this. My daughter is 6 going on 26 and loves all things electronic, thanks again

Theresa

I would love to put my son forward to test the new Innotab by Vtech as he is a computer wiz kid of 5 and half he is crazy about Apples Ipad and has asked santa for this innotab for christmas but like the 1000 of parents in ireland we are under serious finanical pressure at the moment and dont know how we can get this item for him. But I can guarntee if he is picked to be tester it will be the most real and true test available to parents wondering if this is for their child. Let us help VTech by helping us, I could go on forever why to pick me but neither time nor space can allow this. Let hoping Marie

I have a 6 year old boy who has been tech savy since he was 2, he uses the internet (has done since he was 2 playhouse disney, cartoon network and so on), ds, dsi, playstation3, x box, psp and wii, i think he would be a fantastic tester as his well used to gadgets. He can put it to the limits.

His brother is 5 at xmas and has a severe speech and language disorder (1st precentile), his speech therapist uses the ipad to help him with his speech, i also think that giving my son the chance to put this gadget to the test for children with verbal delay/disorder would be of great benefit. He also uses the internet and dsi, playstaion3, x box and wii, and has done since he was 3. he also has possible adhd and has poor fine motor skills (as in holding a pencil) but can navigate any games console.....

cheers!

My 6 year old would love to test this out for you. He has a lot of opinions and would tell you exactly how it is. He is also due an operatio and this would be perfect for keeping his mind of things.

My 2 year old could also use this and I can get my netbook back to complete my essays :)
