Welcoming a baby into the world can impact every aspect of your life and body, and some of us can be left feeling a million miles away from our former selves.
This is something that actress Martine McCutcheon realised, after welcoming her son, Rafferty, back in February of 2015.
Appearing on Loose Women today, the 40-year-old – who is married to Jack McManus – revealed that she resorted to Botox when her face ended up looking like ‘a creased pillow’.
The My Fair Lady star, who previously suffered with ME, told the panel: “When I had a really tough time being unwell…it basically showed on my face a lot, and I looked ravaged. I just looked in the mirror and thought, ‘I’ve always had nice skin, I always had a beautiful glow, and now it has gone.’”
So, the former Eastenders star decided to try a little Botox. While she found the results of her initial session to be ‘strange’, it wasn’t long before she was hooked.

“I had it again, and oh my God, I love it. I absolutely loved it, because it didn’t look like I wasn’t me anymore. I looked like me, but not a creased pillow, basically,” she explained.
Are you a Botox fan? If not, would Martine’s experience encourage you to try it out?
