Whitney Port was always the sweet fashion girl from The Hills, but since welcoming her first child, we find ourselves returning to her YouTube channel for her refreshing honesty and candid insights into life as a new mum.

Her channel, titled ‘I Love My Baby, But…’, features personal vlogs in which Whitney and her husband, Tim Rosenman, get real about the highs and lows of new parenthood.

Indeed, in the three months since little Sonny’s birth, Whitney has already touched hearts and minds with her struggles with breastfeeding and post-baby body image.

In her latest vlog, ‘I Love My Baby, But We Can’t Forget About Our Marriage’, Whitney and Tim touch on how they have weathered the metaphorical storms of the last few months.

Whitney recently admitted that sex was now a trickier subject for her, after pushing ‘an eight-pound baby out of a tiny hole’. Thankfully, Tim is nothing but understanding and patient!

Addressing Whitney as he feeds their son, Tim assured her: “Our sex life will get back to where it was when things sort of calm down. And I feel like it is, and that’s good!”

Tim’s sentiments are clearly appreciated by Whitney, and she, herself, has a little advice for any other men feeling a little thrown after a baby comes along.

“Maybe the first couple of months after your wife has a baby, make her feel extra-special – more special than you would on a normal basis,” she advised.

“For us women, we’re just going through so, so much, and it helps to just feel that extra love without having to ask for it.”

Whitney previously revealed that she was concerned that her husband of two years might look at her differently, with her changing body – something that so many of us mums can relate to.

“Sometimes I’d put myself in [Tim’s] position and be like, ‘I wonder if Timmy gained 40 pounds and had a huge basketball sticking out of his stomach, if I’d still be attracted – and I don’t know!” she said.

The couple, who met on the set of The City, wed in November 2015. They welcomed little Sonny in July of this year.
