We were all left pretty devastated, pondering the existence of true love, when Anna Faris and Chris Pratt announced their split two months ago.

The couple had been together for eight years, share five-year-old son Jack together, and always seemed like the picture of happiness.

In their joint statement, they insisted that they ‘still love each other’ – and it seems like the sentiment wasn’t just lip service.

“It’s understandable that people seemed so invested in our happiness together,” Anna told People this week.

“All I can say about that is, it’s all true – that we truly adore each other, and we love each other. I think it still comes through.”

She added that the couple, who met on the set of their 2007 movie Take Me Home Tonight, ‘will always have each other and be incredible friends’.

“There is still so much laughter in our lives together, and he is so proud of me, still,” she added.

“We watched each other grow, and he still cracks me up all the time. And I think I crack him up – unless he’s a really good actor and great at faking laughter.”

Anna and Chris’ shock split came just months after reports of a break-up. The couple were plagued with reports of infidelity, particularly while Chris filmed Passengers with Jennifer Lawrence.

Anna, 40, was extremely forthcoming with how the speculation affected her.

Speaking on her own podcast, the mum-of-one admitted that the rumours were ‘weirdly stinging’.

“We grapple with a lot of the ideas of being a public couple,” she revealed.

“I just remember feeling so hurt in a way that bothered me, because I didn’t want to think of myself as somebody who could be affected by tabloid sh**.

“I take pride in how great my relationship is with Chris; but having said that, of course, in this crazy world where he’s off doing movies and I’m in LA raising our child – I’m going to feel vulnerable, like any normal human would.”

We’re glad to hear that Anna and Chris are keeping things amicable.
