If his previous interviews and admissions are anything to go by, he has waited a very long time for this baby to arrive, and so it makes sense that singer John Legend would want to make the most of every moment of fatherhood.
The star, who is expecting his first child with model wife Chrissy Teigen, has revealed that he is planning to take paternity leave in order to be there for the new arrival.
In an interview with E! News, the All Of Me singer said: “I think paternity leave is good. I think it’s good for me to be home with Chrissy and helping her with whatever she needs. And I want to get to know our little baby.”
While many men would be feeling a little nervous at the prospect of impending fatherhood, it seems that John is typically calm and collected ahead of the tot’s birth.
“I feel like, my mentality is just to be open and ready to help with whatever I can. And to be as loving to my wife and to our daughter as much as possible,” he added.
The couple announced their joyful baby news back in October, following Chrissy’s tearful admission that she and John had turned to IVF after struggling to conceive.
