In addition to fending off critics of her appearance, reality TV star and expectant mum-of-one, Kim Kardashian, has been doing some major damage control regarding a recent Instagram post.

The 34-year-old television star and business woman came under fire in recent weeks after promoting a morning sickness drug on her social media page without highlighting the potential side effects.

Upon learning of the star's post, the FDA, the organisation which monitors food and drugs in the States, contacted the company which manufactures the pills in question and requested that the post be deleted.

While Kim did include a link to the potential side effects in her initial Instagram contribution, the FDA maintained further clarification was needed which led the world-famous star to revisit the issue in a post earlier today.

Addressing the issues head-on, Kim began her post with the words: "#CorrectiveAd I guess you saw the attention my last #morningsickness post received."

Explaining that her previous post was deemed incomplete, North's mum continued: "A link to this information accompanied the post, but this didn't meet FDA requirements. So, I'm re-posting and sharing this important information about Diclegis. For US Residents Only."

By including the various side effects in the main caption of her post, Kim met with FDA standards, but, despite this, the star continued to receive criticism from social media users,

Commenting on Kim's decision to promote the medication, one follower wrote: "You want to correct how stupid you looked with the first advert. Everybody knows you don't drink and take drugs while pregnant."

Slamming the star's decision to include the pills in her pregnancy routine, a member of the public wrote: "If you don't want to deal with the nausea and vomiting etc... don't have kids. Simple."

It doesn't sound like this controversy is quite ready to die down just yet.
